Samenvatting
We present our finite element solver for incompressible flow laden with a small volume fraction of fine particles. In the present paper, we provide details of the segregated semi-implicit scheme for the PSPG/SUPG/grad-div stabilized method for the fluid. The dispersed phase is modeled using the equilibrium Eulerian approach, where we extend existing work to apply a locally implicit method to an equation that is valid for both bubbles and dense solid particles. The code is validated using the Taylor-Green vortex flow.
