title = "An accuracy and efficiency assessment of beanbags",
abstract = "Beanbags have been used since the years '60 to neutralize people. This article studies a 12-gauge {"}sock{"} beanbag projectile from the firm {"}Defense Technology{"}. We first determine the main parameters of the exterior ballistics. Then we come to the dispersion before going to the main point: the damage assessment. This evaluation is divided in three parts: skin penetration, bone fractures and internal injuries. Each possible damage are linked to measurable values or effects on a surrogate. The measured values are then compared with other previously tested non-lethal launchers. These comparisons are finally interpreted in order to conclude.",
