SErious GAming for RESilience screening

Project: OnderzoekEDA

Projectdetails

Doel van het project

The Project will contribute to better and more reliable assessment of the competencies required for performance in mentally challenging and unpredictable circumstances. To achieve this, the project will further develop and validate a demonstrator of a gamified assessment tool called Space Evac 1.0, which was developed in the EDA CAT-B project SEGARES-I (SErious GAming for REsilience Screening; B.PRJ.RT.925). The proposed EDA CAT-B project SEGARES-II will be carried out by the same consortium that developed Space Evac 1.0. Within SEGARES-II, the demonstrator and game environment Space Evac 1.0 will be further developed through follow-up research into a measurement tool, Space Evac 2.0, to be used in the selection and screening of both military personnel and police officers. Additionally, a validation study will be conducted within SEGARES-II to determine whether the measurement tool can accurately assess the intended competencies within a selection context. The development and validation conducted in SEGARES II should provide cMs with the necessary knowledge to assess the value of the game for (online) assessment and screening purposes, and with insights concerning potential final adjustments to the game before implementation.
