Improving TEMPEST Security of Military and Commercial Video Display Units by Developing a Risk Assessment Tool and Developing Effective Countermeasures on the Software- and the Hardware- Level

Developing a TEMPEST video leakage assessment tool which is based on simulation methods. Therefore enabling a fast and effective TEMPEST risk assessment of video display inventories.
Research and development of effective countermeasures which significantly reduce the TEMPEST video eavesdropping risk. Countermeasures are proposed based on the software and the hardware level.
The TEMPEST video leakage risk of video display units which hold sensitive information of which data compromise might result in serious consequences for state security, diplomatic missions, (tribunal) court cases, … is evaluated.
