Résumé
The Weapon Systems and Ballistics Department of the Belgian Royal Military Academy pays more and more attention to target vulnerability and weapons lethality in the different engagements of conventional warfare including both aerial and surface targets. During a recent study conducted in order to analyse the survivability of a dismounted soldier under threat of a 40 mm low velocity grenade, a model, called "KAPSTOK", was developed in a three-dimensional environment. The "KAPSTOK" methodology can be applied to other engagements. In this paper, it is adapted to an air-to-air combat: a rocket system with a flechettes warhead launched against a helicopter. The basic parametric study, conducted in order to confirm the potential use of this adaptation, is presented.
