Résumé
The COURAGEOUS project aims at the development of a common baseline understanding amongst Member State authorities concerning the effectiveness of different technical systems intended for specific use in the detection, tracking and identification of non-cooperative drones (DTI). In line with this, the COURAGEOUS project focuses on the development of 10 relevant standard scenarios that will describe different situations in which protection from non-cooperative UAS may be necessary, as well as the risks of each of these standard scenarios.
After the second amendment, deliverable 2.4 was separated into two deliverables:
• D2.4.1: this document describes a risk analysis matrix and related metrics of the standard scenarios that were developed in deliverable 2.3.1.
• D2.4.2: this document is submitted after the execution of the first trial (in Greece) and focuses on the validation and evaluation of the risk of the standard scenarios that were developed in Deliverable 2.3.2.
Deliverable D2.4.2 (“Risk Analysis and Metrics Definitions”) is the updated version of D2.4.1 which described the level of risk of the standardized scenarios that were developed in D2.3.1 and evaluated in D2.3.2 concerning all the different situations in which a drone could be considered a threat.
A methodological approach was followed for the risk analysis of the standard scenarios. It begins with an identification of end-user opinion regarding the likelihood and impact of the factors that comprise a threat scenario. In this framework, a detailed questionnaire was circulated among consortium end users and end users that are related to C-UAS, asking them to score each component of a UAS threat story regarding two indicators:
• Likelihood
• Impact
Building on this data, a risk analysis and a risk matrix were created.
