Détails du projet

Objectif du projet

The aim of the present project is to fully understand the numerical modeling of the pyrotechnical shock test and to optimize the test configuration as a function of a given SRS. To that end a realistic Finite Element model of the test setup has to be implemented and the influence of the different parameters on the obtained SRS has to be studied. The ultimate goal is to numerically determine the optimal test configuration for a given imposed SRS. This procedure would avoid the realization of an important number of preliminary tests, which could at that moment be replaced by a numerical routine. Testing of components for the military as well as the aerospace industry would at that moment be considerably reduced in time. Furthermore, this project would allow for a thorough understanding of the numerical modeling of the pyrotechnical shock test, which resides in the complex domain of highly dynamic and transient phenomena
