Collaborative Combat Engineering Unmanned Ground Systems

Projet: Recherche

Détails du projet

Objectif du projet

This project aims at:
1) Developing a robotic agent with dual manipulator arms capable of permitting semi-autonomous manipulation and virtual reality tools for facilitating tele-operations. Partner RMA and DOK-ING will collaborate on this task
2) Creating a demonstrator to facilitate autonomous defensive obstacle placement. Project coordinator DEMCON and partner AGXEED will work together on this task.
3) Developing an autonomous robotic system for mine detection, counter-CBRN tasks and explosive threat clearing tasks (i.e. mine-removal, UXO-removal). Partners PIAP, WAT, WITI, FFI, TBD and AA will be working together in this use-case.

All these developments will be facilitated through the collaborative development of e-UGS compliant software modules for controlling of the developed robotic platforms including robotics accessories for multiple functionalities that will be used for obstacle placement, mine detection, counter-CBRN tasks and explosive threat clearing tasks (i.e. mine-removal, UXO-removal).

Ultimately, the project aims to advance the autonomy of engineering robotic systems, potentially replacing the hazardous tasks currently performed mainly by human operators.
