Objectif du projet
UAV and Area-Denial weapon systems are versatile, efficient and hard to counter, thus granting a strategic upper hand to their users, even in the case of near-pear conflicts. There’s a growing need for affordable, quick-reaction and effective UAV counters, and for weapons that outrange enemy systems.
The project hereby proposes to study the use of new innovative and/or improved rocket systems to address emerging threats, and with improved range.
To that end, it will study and develop the following four technological building blocks:
1) New, preformed fragments rocket warheads dedicated to addressing class 3 drone targets.
2) Combustible fragments to reduce the collateral damage / increase the performance of preformed fragments rocket warheads.
3) Optical proximity fuse for counter-UAV guided or unguided rockets.
4) Long-range rocket systems.
