Description
Scientific Objectives SO1 Describe the common roles and tasks of military chaplains in a multinational operational environment. SO2 Evaluate relevant research on the spiritual-existential dimension in health and well-being, and, if possible, propose a shared culturally sensitive perspective on how the spiritual-existential dimension contributes to warfighters’ ability to maintain their operational capability (needs of chaplains working within specific institutional frameworks). SO3 Identify common ground—what we can all agree upon—regarding a culturally and ethically sensitive view of terminology and a shared glossary for the spiritual-existential dimension that can be helpful from a multidisciplinary and interoperability perspective. Present concrete spiritual-existential practices, not necessarily evidence-based) from various military chaplaincy traditions and practices that may be useful for sustaining capability. SO4 What kind of tools can leverage individual and collective meaning-making (sense of commitment for greater good? Struggles? Tensions?) aimed to maintain and restore humanity in NATO multinational wartime/high-intensity operations, without instrumentalization and with/through military chaplain’s competencies?
