Abstract
In the development of a new space vehicle, qualification tests of the different sub-assemblies and components is a major requirement. At the Royal Military Academy, Department of Civil Engineering, different components of the main engine Vulcain have been tested. For purposes of getting better results, an improved version of the pyrotechnik shock plate has been developed. By conducting several preliminary tests, the required shock response spectrum has been obtained.
