Abstract

The paper presents an analysis of toroidal rotation profiles under the influence of a nonaxisymmetric magnetic perturbation in JET plasmas with n=1 or n=2 mode numbers of the perturbing fields. A scaling of the torque with (6B/B)a is derived from the experimental data and torque profiles are compared to predictions from neoclassical toroidal viscosity (NTV) theory.
