Abstract

The authors study an array made of side by side antennae and give numerical results for the TEXTOR tokamak, with the constraint that the array is not allowed to use more space than the present single conductor antenna. They present an analysis of the array in terms of quasi-TEM modes, determined by appropriate boundary conditions. Important problems linked with the feeding of the array by two generators are also discussed: the sensitivity of the tuning of the two coupled generators, and the value of the phase-shift between the two input voltages of the array resulting from a given phase difference between the two generators.
