Abstract
As ICRH is becoming a more and more important part of the additional heating planned on the medium-size and large machines (ASDEX, ASDEX UPGRADE, JET, JFT-2M, JT-60, PLT, TEXTOR, TORE SUPRA) it is of considerable importance to optimize the design procedure of the ICRH launcher. In the present paper, the authors list and discuss the various problems encountered in such a procedure.
