Abstract

An approximate algorithm for two-media synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging is proposed. It is based on an effective physical approximation and avoids solving the equation mentioned above either numerically or analytically. This paper discusses in detail the issue of determining the dielectric permittivity of the ground, being a crucial information to perform SAR imaging.
