Project Details
Goal of the project
READYMED EUROPE aims to co-create, through a user-centred iterative methodology, a ground-breaking Military Medical Training Federated Platform that will significantly enhance both the preparedness and interoperability among military medical teams, while addressing challenges such as limited access, resource fragmentation, and outdated training methods. It will enable cost-effective and realistic training to improve decision-making, teamwork, and procedural skills critical in high-stakes environments including those involving mass casualties. READYMED seeks to transform military medical training, enhancing the EU's capacity to address critical defence challenges and ensuring the inclusion of personnel in remote locations.
The project will build on the consortium members’ state-of-the-art products for military medical training and the most advanced research outcomes from their major European EDF, EDIDP and Horizon projects in this domain. It will extend and integrate them using state-of-the-art simulation, extended reality, artificial intelligence, and 5G networking technologies to deliver a comprehensive and modular set of medical training modules for Prolonged Field Care, Tactical Combat Casualty Care, CBRNE Training, MASCAL and MEDEVAC Management, as well as Surgical Simulation. An advanced Exercise Control System alongside an AI-driven Learning Management System will the fine grain animation and analysis of joint exercises promoting interoperability in military and civilian medical training.
To lay the groundwork for broad adoption and successful exploitation of the project’s results, the consortium will produce an updated curriculum for prolonged field care that integrates the proposed innovations, develop a final report outlining best practices, recommendations, and a future roadmap for military medical training, and leverage its strong presence in the military medical training and civil protection markets to foster adoption.
