Project Details
Goal of the project
New MCM systems will be able to cover all types of MCM operations and therefore use every available MCM technique (minehunting, minesweeping, and explosive ordnance device (EOD)) in order to counter a mine threat in every potential scenario, worldwide.
The planning and evaluation (P&E) software that will be delivered by BNR is based on a static approach where all the optimization effort is put on the sensors path planning. It does not provide an optimized mission schedule to define the best overall succession of activities for the different unmanned vehicles (MCM tools). This shortcoming can be addressed by implementing a dynamic approach, based on a scheduling-based optimization system.
