Project Details
Goal of the project
The main objective of this proposal is to realize an installation that produces hydrogen, which can be used, as an energy carrier, for heating and production of electricity in order to maximize the energy independency in both a building in Saffraanberg, Sint-Truiden, Belgium and in a compound in Southern Europe. Both options will be taken into account due to different climatological conditions and therefore distinct designs of the hydrogen panels. After a thorough analysis, hydrogen panels will be integrated. Furthermore, the implementation of different potential solutions, step-by-step, will be investigated. Collecting data including validation of predicted hydrogen yields versus real-life long-term operation followed by the evaluation and, if needed, adjustment of parameters will be conducted. The results of this project can lead to a lower dependence on imports of energy products, increase the durability of defence capabilities and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Role of the organisation
The role of DLD is described to offer support during the integration of the installation and provide general coordination
