Project Details
Goal of the project
The main purpose of the MLM-NG project is to improve the technology of the demonstrators for unmanned lightweight modular minesweeping system used in previous EDA projects (MLM and MLM-II), and further develop these, and new sources, in order to achieve the advanced prototype stage of those systems. The advanced systems will be tested with an operational focus using underwater multi-influence ranges developed in the project. The results and experiences from the MLM (and other MMCM projects) will be combined into the new MLM-NG project, and push the technology of modular lightweight minesweeping towards an operational capability. The project will work through theoretical studies, numerical modelling, development and integration of sources and ranges and verifications by sea trials.
Role of the organisation
RMA is involved in WP1 Definition of requirements and Simulations and is leader and contributor of WP3 Operational use of lightweight influence sweep systems.
