Intercomprehension competence development in Belgian Defence Forces

We wish to develop tools to improve plurilingual and multilingual communication in the setting of the Belgian Defence Forces. We want to explore intercomprehension competence as complementary to military language instruction. Each person uses his or her own language in a specific way to communicate with each other on a basic level in an operational context, without the need to fully understand the other person’s language.
