Project Details
Goal of the project
The objective of the project consists of overcoming the technological and scientific obstacles to the large-scale implementation of the ISS strategy of deployed ammunition by the Belgian Defence in order to:
- allow the safety and suitability for service of the deployed ammunition to be guaranteed, while preventing their early disposal, thereby improving the safety of the personnel, and reducing the overall operational costs;
- deepen the essential partnership in munition health management between the Belgian Defence and the defence industry, thereby enabling the implementation of sustainable solutions within the scope of the Defence technical capabilities;
- enable the efficient management of deployed ammunition stockpiles by relying on conditioned-based maintenance principles.
