High-intensity sound from gunfire and firearms

Project: Research

Project Details

Goal of the project

The proposal aims to enhance understanding of high-intensity firearm noise. It seeks to improve modeling for ground and wind effects and assess non-linear sound perception at various distances. This involves extensive experimental measurements for validation of improved numerical models. The project aims to provide expertise on mitigating health risks and develop protective measures like terrain shielding.
