Development of an Improved Explosive Device secondary debris Simulating Projectile

Project: Research

Project Details

Goal of the project

The goal of this research project is to develop an IED secondary debris Simulation Projectile (ISP) similar in concept to the fragment simulating projectile, introduced to test fragment resistance. This ISP should be able to reliably mimic the actual threat (up to a certain level), but also be easy to use in a laboratory or testing environment. Combined with aimed a useful methodology and introducing a reliable surrogate and test method.
