Project Details
Goal of the project
Develop a standardised methodology using a set of Bullet Simulating Projectiles to scale the threat (penetrative capacity and risk on BABT) associated with different commercial ammunitions to a unique scale. Evaluate the currently in use conventional methods to assess the risk on behind armour blunt trauma (by evaluating the backface signature made in a clay-based witness material) by comparison with advanced FE models and medical data and experience.
Role of the organisation
The ABAL department has a certified laboratory according to ISO17025 and is capable of performing all the necessary tests.
