Project Details
Goal of the project
For several decades, the Department of Physics at RMA has been conducting experimental and theoretical research on plasma physics and fusion energy in the framework of the European thermonuclear fusion research programme, through its Laboratory for Plasma Physics. Now we plan to initiate a new line of research in the broader context of Sustainable Energy Management. More specifically, here we tackle the idea of linking periodic or intermittent electricity production to a given demand profile of electricity. In this proposal, the idea is studied in the context of a deployable operating base or compound, i.e. a semi-stationary setting with nominal power production figures in the order of MW.
