Goal of the project
The objective of this study is to develop a marketable (TRL 8) rapid detection assay of pathogenic Candida species, who frequently cause severe infections, with high drug resistance and high mortality rates. In addition, the virulence and anti-fungal resistance of the detected pathogens will also be analysed using Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies.
