Project Details

Goal of the project

BE-PROTECT intends to develop an actionable computational pipeline that utilizes AI-powered protein characterization to analyze protein structures, functions, and interactions while addressing conformational diversity and structural landscape variations that might modulate pathogenicity or reveal target epitopes in (human) proteins, including assessment of possible antigenicity changes conferred by diverse structural conformations. The full BE-PROTECT characterization pipeline can accelerate countermeasure discovery by fast computational drug repurposing for novel or modified biothreats and by design of proteinaceous inhibitors that serve as leads for future drugs.
