Project Details
Goal of the project
The aim of the proposed project is to develop a novel laboratory testing method which replicates realistically the characteristics of an explosion: a synchronised arrival of a blast wave with impacting fragments. Testing protective materials with a more representative test method will result in better & optimized protection against explosive threats. 3 material groups will be tested: textiles, composites and metals.
