Description
This lecture series introduces the fundamentals of flow instability analysis and its importance in fluid mechanics applications. It focuses on stability theory in compressible flows, covering numerical methods for predicting transitional flows, including linear and non linear stability theory and transient growth. Engineering approaches for design applications were also discussed. The series also highlighted the role of high fidelity simulations, experimental techniques, and machine learning in improving transition modelling.
