Sensing Evaluation Perception Interoperability Autonomy (SEPIA)

Activity: OtherParticipation to another NATO or EDA activity

Description

The topics to be addressed within SEPIA JRP are related to the detection, classification and identification of bottom, drifting, tethered, and buried mines and ordnance; including but not limited to: sensing (including acoustic and non-acoustic sensors, environmentally adaptive sensing), perception (including machine learning, artificial intelligence and signal processing for automatic recognition algorithm), change detection, identification metrics, autonomy, interoperability, mine sweeping, at-sea experimentation for maritime unmanned systems (MUS); mission planning; science and technology (S&T) related to system of systems (SoS); simulation and modelling; performance evaluation; and any other closely related topic.

Additional Description

The overall objective of the SEPIA JRP is to enable, in a cost-effective manner, the
advancement of mine search and recognition capabilities by leveraging the resources of the Participants in a cooperative effort.
