NATO IST-SET-204: RF Measurement Campaign in Aveiro, Portugal

Description

A measurement campaign was conducted in Aveiro, Portugal, under the scope of NATO IST-SET-204: Radio-Frequency (RF) based detection and classification of UAS, from 6 to 10 October 2025. Several NATO member states participated in the campaign with the objective of recording drone RF signals under three representative scenarios: (i) rural, (ii) semi-urban, and (iii) urban RF environments.

Measurements were carried out at three locations: a military base, providing a controlled environment; the campus of the University of Aveiro, representing a semi-controlled environment with background RF transmissions; and an uncontrolled urban environment near the city center.
