Traditionally, the MABS Symposia have a single or parallel technical session format and include technical and/or social excursions. All sessions are unclassified and papers selected for presentation are expected to fall into the broad topic area of blast and shock wave research.

Explosive event simulation, e.g. shock tubes, explosive charges, blast simulators, innovative loading devices as well as computational and analytical methods
Modeling and scaling
Measurement and signal processing techniques
