Abstract

The COURAGEOUS project aims at the development of a common baseline understanding amongst Member State authorities concerning the effectiveness of different technical systems intended for specific use in the detection, tracking and identification (DTI) of non-cooperative drones. Therefore, the COURAGEOUS project focuses on the development of a set of relevant standard scenarios that will describe different situations in which protection from non-cooperative Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) may be necessary.
After the second amendment, deliverable 2.3 was split into two deliverables:
• D2.3.1: this document describes the methodology and the first identification of the standard scenarios
• D2.3.2: this document is submitted after the execution of the first trial and focuses on the validation and evaluation of the standard scenarios that were developed in D2.3.1.
Deliverable D2.3.2 is the updated version of D2.3.1 (“Definition of Standard Scenarios”) which described a set of standard scenarios related to UAS attacks. The collected knowledge from the previous activities, the report on previous incidents & the identification of gaps, as well as the review of the current Counter UAS (C-UAS) framework, were all combined and formed an initial design for the first trial, which already took place and the upcoming trials which will take place later in the project.
D2.3.2 will be utilized to create an evaluation framework towards the validation of scenarios, as was the workshop with end-users and relevant stakeholders that was held following the first trial execution.
