Projektdetails
Goal of the project
Team TWS intends to develop, in Belgium, an innovative generic real-time Threat Warning Sensor (TWS) system based on MWIR and LWIR imaging spectroscopy technology, applying advanced AI/ML processing. Imaging spectroscopy technology is a very unique and promising (passive) sensing technology.
Theoretically the spectral exhaust signature of every type of source of combustion is different and can be categorized using imaging spectroscopy (and AI). The TWS intends to detect and map these sources of exhaust energy of high-value targets, for airborne Self-Protection, for ISR, for Detect-and-Avoid (DAA), for IFF, to amend sensor fusion architectures and/or A.I. based object recognition algorithms, etc.,
strongly enhancing the awareness situation on the battlefield and beyond.
