Projektdetails
Goal of the project
Design of a tool to predict the breakthrough time of activated carbon filters by expanding the existing model to
- Simultaneous and consecutive release of organic-inorganic and inorganic-inorganic substances;
- Extreme conditions of temperature; highly useful when Belgian troops are deployed in Central Africa or Middle East, where the high temperatures will affect the service life of the filter.
- airflows with very low concentrations of an organic vapour to mimic the threat posed by very low volatile agents (like VX or the novichoks).
