Goal of the project
This project aims to examine the opportunity for Defence to invest in serious games for recruitment and selection purposes. To this end, we will develop a gamified Situational Judgement Test (SJT) assessing core personal values and the Person-Organisation fit (P-O fit). This serious game, called Do We Match? will serve both recruitment and selection purposes. To answer our research question, we will test the following hypotheses:
(1) Using Do We Match? as a marketing tool improves Defence attractiveness, intention to apply, and actual application;
(2) The P-O fit score based on Do We Match? predicts retention, health, and performance during training;
(3) The P-O fit score based on Do We Match? predicts retention, health, and performance during training better than the current paper-and-pencil SJT;
(4) Using Do We Match? as a recruiting tool alleviates the selection process from P-O fit measurements.
