This VKI lecture series, supported by NATO STO, focused on numerical methodologies for hypersonic flows. It addressed the capabilities and limitations of current CFD approaches used to simulate high speed flow regimes. The lectures provided important insights for improving the reliability of aerodynamic characterisation and trajectory prediction. The knowledge gained is expected to support ongoing research projects and provide valuable background for future PhD work on hypersonic extended range artillery projectiles.
