This presentation, delivered within the FIRES project, investigates the impact of material modeling assumptions on the aerodynamic parameters of guided munition configurations. A comparison between homogeneous material models and realistic geometric and surface-finish representations is performed, with particular emphasis on double-wedge wing configurations and surface finish effects. The results highlight the influence of realistic modeling on aerodynamic behavior and underline the importance of accurate geometry and material representation in feasibility and performance assessments.
